“What problem do you want to solve?” That’s the bold question we put to students and faculty. It’s the question of a lifetime, because choosing an important problem—then working to solve it—creates lifelong fulfillment and makes powerful contributions possible. Now, with support from philanthropy, we’re continuing to find answers to the world’s most pressing questions.
Foundational to our continued success are the opportunities we give students to learn outside the classroom. Now, we are investing in making these invaluable experiences a reality, through an Experiential Learning Support Fund and Hands-On Learning Spaces. Our vision is simple at its heart: make a CAS education accessible to all while giving each and every student access to the best that UB, Buffalo and our world have to offer.
The college is home to more than 450 faculty experts—researchers, teachers and mentors whose immeasurable contributions to society are eclipsed only by their life-changing impact on our students. Now, we will build on their strengths through two distinct initiatives:
Our world is filled with questions that no single discipline can answer. At CAS, we are distinctively equipped to use our multidisciplinary expertise to create lasting solutions to real-world problems. Now, we are seeking significant philanthropic investment in two distinct initiatives.
As we create a new model for infusing art and culture throughout a community, we will also ensure that students have the business acumen and entrepreneurial focus that can help them succeed as professional artists.
Students will gain more meaningful learning experiences, which will live up to the highest standards across our curriculum, and ensure that these experiential opportunities permeate every facet of our culture.
The needs are great. But our ambition to advance the world and our power to effect change are even greater.
We are seeking your investment in designing and building a better world.
