Release Date: August 29, 2020
In accordance with the University at Buffalo’s health guidelines on events and gatherings, UB Police dispersed several small groups of students who were socializing outside of an Ellicott Complex residence hall on UB’s North Campus Thursday evening.
UB Police say the students, most of whom were wearing masks, dispersed quietly and without incident. UB Police estimate the largest group was about 40 to 50 students who had gathered for a short period at one site, which is now closed to students.
UB has policies and procedures in place to enforce its Health and Safety Guidelines. Students who don’t abide by these guidelines will be subject to disciplinary actions, up to and including possible suspension from the university.
