NPR reports on UB study about a possible new way to prevent binge drinking among students

A story on NPR reports on a new study that found that warning students about the lesser-known link between alcohol and cancer may serve as a deterrent to binge drinking, and quotes Cindy Yixin Chen, a student in the UB Department of Communication and the study’s lead author. Educating students about those dangers may lower their intent to binge drink, she said. Stories about the study also appeared on Medical Daily, Medical Xpress and Science Codex.
