First-Year and Transfer Students

The New to UB process will introduce you to life as a UB student and prepare you for a successful start.

Submit Your Housing Application

Before beginning the New to UB process outlined below, we strongly recommend you submit a Housing Application and $300 deposit if you plan to live on campus this spring. 

Priority for selecting your on-campus housing location/room is based on the date you submit your Housing Application, so it is best to submit right away.

First-Year and Transfer Students

New students are required to complete the New to UB process, detailed in the steps below.

  • Step 1: Complete the Orientation Data Form
    10/11/24
    Start by filling out the Orientation Data Form to provide key information to UB.
  • Step 2: Submit Immunization Records
    10/11/24
    Proof of immunization is required for all new students. 
  • Step 3: Register for Classes
    10/11/24
    Once you have completed Steps 1 and 2, academic advisors will help you register for classes.
  • Step 4: Participate in Orientation
    2/2/24
    Orientation is a required experience that sets you up for a successful start at UB. 
  • Step 5: Experience UB Welcome
    2/9/24
    Participate in an on-campus experience immediately before the start of classes.
  • Step 6: Learn about Year One
    9/5/24
    Year One supports you through your start at UB with programs, resources and guidance.
