Newman again heads UBF board
By PAULA WITHERELL Reginald B. Newman II, president of NOCO Energy Corp., has been reappointed chair of the Board of Trustees of the University at Buffalo Foundation, Inc.
Other officers appointed by the foundation are John N. Walsh III, chairman and chief executive officer of Walsh Duffield Companies, Inc., vice chair; Richard E. Heath, partner in the law firm of Hodgson, Russ, Andrews, Woods and Goodyear, secretary, and Donald A. Ross, former president of Rand Capital Corp., treasurer. New board trustees elected to three-year terms are Beverly Foit-Albert, president and owner of Foit-Albert Associates, P.C.; Mark E. Hamister, chairman and chief executive officer of National Health Care Affiliates, Inc.; Jordan A. Levy, co-chairman of Softbank Services Group; William L. McHugh, executive vice president of Independent Health Associates, and Louis R. Reif, former chairman and chief executive officer of National Fuel Gas Co. Serving as a trustee and chair of the audit committee is William M.E. Clarkson, an adjunct professor in the UB Department of Planning and former chair of Graphic Controls Corp. Robert Rich, Jr., president of Rich Products Corp., was reappointed as a trustee. Philip B. Wels was named trustee emeritus. New directors elected to three-year terms are Sal H. Alfiero, chairman and chief executive officer of Mark IV Industries, Inc.; Robert T. Brady, president and chief executive officer of Moog Controls, Inc., and John N. Walsh III. The following directors were re-elected to three-year terms: William G. Gisel, Jr., president, Food Group of Rich Products Corp.; Walter E. Kempa, Jr., vice president, finance of Gemcor; Jonathan W. Reynolds, chief investment officer of Marine Midland Bank; William I. Schapiro, attorney with the law firm Jaeckle, Fleischmann, and Mugel, and Jeremy M. Jacobs, Jr., senior executive vice president of Delaware North Companies, Inc.
