Ashim K. Mallik, 59,
assistant professor of statistics

Services were held Nov. 4 in the Amigone Funeral Home, Town of Tonawanda, for Ashim K. Mallik, an assistant professor in the Department of Statistics. Mallik died Nov. 3 in Millard Filllmore Suburban Hospital, Amherst. He was 59.

Mallik joined UB in 1993 after teaching at the universities of Minnesota, Pittsburgh, Michigan, Georgia and Toronto.

A native of Monghyr, India, he earned a doctorate in statistics at Stanford University in 1970.
