UB Remote Desktop Gateway retires March 23 - connect to UB VPN

The UB Remote Desktop Gateway service is retiring March 23, 2026. Students, faculty, and staff can connect to UB VPN with their devices to access important UB services off campus.

eduroam Wi-Fi is coming to UB shuttle buses in spring 2026

This fall, eduroam access is continuing to expand as Wi-Fi will soon be added to UB’s public transportation system, coming to the smaller shuttles and later the larger Stampede buses. 

DeepSeek AI SUNY & state ban: What it means for UB

The University at Buffalo aligns with a statewide and SUNY ban on DeepSeek AI following concerns about foreign government surveillance and data security. Faculty, staff and students must not download or access DeepSeek AI on UB-owned devices or when using UB networks.

Introducing BullsAI for UB research and teaching
