Coordinates services and accommodations to ensure the accessibility and usability of all UB programs, services, and activities by people with disabilities.
Through a partnership with the Student Association, UB offers Blue Table, a virtual food pantry service for UB students who do not have access to food. Any enrolled UB student is welcome to utilize the service and all that is needed is a valid UB student ID.
Promotes the personal well-being and academic success of students by providing brief mental health services, educational programs, crisis intervention, and campus community consultation.
Student emergency funds at the University at Buffalo seek to award grants to eligible students who are experiencing an unforeseen hardship that could impact their ability to remain enrolled in school. Temporary financial assistance is available for immediate and current emergency situations.
Consultants can offer guidance and support to faculty/staff to assist with concerns and stress at work or at home. Other offerings include support groups, trainings, workshops, and mediation services.
Provides assistance in UB’s goal to promote diversity, inclusion and equity campus wide. UB's compliance office, EDI oversees policies governing discrimination, harassment, reasonable accommodation, religious accommodation, child protection and recruitment; ensures that issues of harassment, discrimination and accommodation are addressed in a timely and effective manner; and hosts proactive activities related to diversity and inclusion.
Part of Student Life, Health Promotion provides assistance that includes rape and sexual assault prevention and support and LGBTQ wellness.

The School of Social Work's Racial Justice Network is a cooperative, pluralist approach to cultivating racial equity in academic programs, research agendas, administrative policies and informal culture. Rather than taking a single path, forming a single committee, or concentrating on a single front, their networked approach enables individuals and groups to create a node within this larger system, taking action on the issues and in the ways they see fit.

The Distinguished Visiting Scholars program in the College of Arts and Sciences brings a cohort of highly accomplished scholars and artists whose work elucidates social inequality and advances social justice to the university and Buffalo community. The year-long program engages the entire UB community, providing opportunities for new scholarly, artistic, curricular and pedagogical collaborations and access to scholars’ work through public presentations, performances, exhibitions, guest lectures, workshops and informal social gatherings.

UB's RENEW Institute is university-wide and interdisciplinary, focusing on complex energy and environmental issues, as well as the social and economic ramifications. It helps develop and coordinate innovative research, education and outreach programs.
The 'UB Food Lab' is a research group dedicated to examining the role of local government policy in facilitating equitable, healthy, and sustainable communities. The Lab collaborates with other research groups, community and planning organizations, and local and global governments to provide assistance on the use of policy and planning to create equitable food systems and healthy communities.

The Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program (McNair Scholars Program) prepares undergraduates from all disciplines to pursue their PhD. The TRiO Student Support Services (SSS) Program at the University at Buffalo is committed to serving undergraduate students who are first-generation, low-income, and/or students with disabilities and helping them overcome academic, cultural and social barriers so they can succeed in higher education. We provide our students with holistic academic and personal support services designed to assist with graduate school and career preparation, economic and financial literacy, and ultimately persistence to graduation.
Tutoring and Academic Support Services (TASS) helps undergraduate students raise the bar on their classroom performance by providing resources that open doors to academic success. When you work with their tutors, you’ll find new ways to approach your studies and gain strategies to overcome the rigors of college-level work. These services are free to all undergraduate students. The Women in Science and Engineering (WiSE) program at UB provides support and extracurricular opportunities for female students in STEM fields with the goal of increasing the recruitment, retention and success of women in the sciences, math and engineering.

NACS is a non-profit organization providing quality health and social services to the off-reservation Native American population in Erie and Niagara Counties. In keeping with their “Tradition of Caring,” they have grown into a full-scale human services agency committed to helping the entire community, regardless of race or background.
The Heritage Center preserves the historic role of the people of Niagara Falls in facilitating freedom for the oppressed, and their mission is to reveal authentic stories of Underground Railroad freedom seekers and abolitionists in Niagara Falls that inspire visitors to recognize modern injustices that stem from slavery and take action toward an equitable society.
