For Gary Hebert (BS ’70), the question is really, “What did you lose?” The answer is his class ring, which he misplaced somewhere in California shortly after he graduated. Hebert, who now lives in Boston, recently got a message from UB’s Office of Alumni Engagement, letting him know they had received a 1970 class ring from the School of Engineering, engraved with his initials; apparently, it had turned up on the floor of a California condo. Back with its rightful owner after its 40-plus-year adventure, the peridot ring shined up rather nicely with a good polishing. Best of all, it still fits. “It’s quite a conversation piece around here,” Hebert says.
