Established by Michael and Peggy Cain, the Dean’s Enrichment Endowment Fund provides a variety of resources that help the medical school achieve its priorities, while also inspiring others to invest in the school.
Michael E. Cain, MD, is Vice President for Health Sciences and Dean of the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. His many accomplishments include leading the efforts to rebuild and modernize the Jacobs School in an effort to improve the educational experience for students.
In his health sciences role, Dean Cain leads the university’s five health sciences schools. He also serves as professor of medicine and professor of biomedical engineering. Dean Cain has been awarded the UB President’s Medal, which is given in recognition of extraordinary service to the university.
Peggy Cain, herself a biomedical researcher, has also championed the efforts to sustain and advance the medical school, working tirelessly to serve the UB community. Her ongoing support has helped support the training of physicians and scientists, facilitate bench and clinical research, and foster collaborations with the local medical community.
