The UB community is deploying expertise and resources to address needs related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Our faculty, staff and students are working on the front lines of COVID-19 response—providing medical, dental, legal and social work services (both in-person and remotely); testing for the disease; conducting research; gathering and distributing supplies, and assisting in the production of protective equipment for health care workers.
Our faculty’s collective knowledge and experience—especially in medicine, nursing, dentistry, public health, pharmacy and social work—represents a lifesaving resource for the community.
To support the many rapidly evolving healthcare needs of our community, the University at Buffalo has established the Health Sciences Emergency Fund. Your contributions will provide funding for critical, ongoing efforts in our community that include:
If you would like to discuss a gift or a pledge to one of UB’s emergency funds, please contact our University Advancement staff at ealcott@buffalo.edu or 716-829-2773. Thank you for investing in UB, our students and our community.
Now more than ever, it’s important to tell stories that connect the UB community, inspiring others to help, cope, understand and work to strengthen the ties that bind us. Together we can make a difference and persevere during this time of crisis.
We want to hear about your frontline experiences; behind-the-scenes support; challenges as a couple in healthcare; lives lost, lives saved; creative solutions; coping strategies; expressions of gratitude; and your everyday experiences. Submit your story.
