HUBzero Foundation newsletter spotlights work done at CCR supporting a virtual data infrastructure and volcano research

CCR is pleased to offer the Lake Effect Research Cloud to all faculty, staff, students and collaborators at the University at Buffalo.  

CCR will again be hosting The Eric Pitman Annual Summer Workshop in Computational Science for high school students this summer. The workshop runs from June 27 - July 8, 2016.

The U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) is underwriting a five-year, $5-million project to build the Aristotle Cloud Federation, a federated cloud of data infrastructure building blocks (DIBBs) that will support scientists and engineers requiring elastic workflows and analysis tools for large-scale data sets.   

CCR will again be hosting The Eric Pitman Annual Summer Workshop in Computational Science for high school students this summer. The workshop runs from June 29 - July 10, 2015.

Buffalo digital-effects company IBC Digital used University at Buffalo's Center for Computational Research (CCR) resources to prep Charlie the Tuna for his animated role in a new TV commercial. IBC Digital is known for its computer-generated animation work on behalf of major studios and cable networks. With help from CCR, they recreated StarKist’s classic mascot for a national ad campaign.

Mathworks staff will be presenting two Matlab demonstrations at UB this September.
