The first season of MTV's "Fraternity Life" and the second season of "Sorority Life," both focusing on members of Greek organizations at the University at Buffalo, will debut on MTV on next Wednesday, Feb. 26.

"Sorority Life 2," focusing on Delta Xi Omega sorority and students who "rushed" the sorority during the fall semester, will air at 10 p.m. on Wednesdays for 13 weeks.

"Fraternity Life," focusing on Sigma Chi Omega fraternity and students who "rushed" the fraternity during the fall semester, will air at 10:30 p.m. on Wednesdays for 13 weeks.

Both shows are MTV-student organization projects, not UB projects. Arrangements for the productions were made with the student organizations without university involvement. UB was not affiliated with the projects and did not exercise any editorial control over the content of the programs, off-campus filming, or MTV's marketing of both shows.

UB permitted MTV crews to film on campus with an official UB observer present.

Approximately 3 percent of UB students are members of UB's 20 Greek organizations.
