University Police are continuing their investigation of an incident in which two male UB students were abducted and robbed the evening of Sunday, Nov. 23, in the Spaulding parking lot on the North Campus.

An investigation has led to several arrests in another off-campus crime that was similar to the Spaulding incident and also occurred on Sunday evening. It is hoped that these arrests and the aggressive investigation of the North Campus incident by University Police will lead to solving the UB incident just as swiftly.

University Police are advising members of the UB community to continue to be alert and use well-lit pathways and parking lots; lock vehicle doors; avoid traveling alone, particularly at night; store the University Police telephone number (645-2222) on cell phone speed dials, and make use of the campus Blue Light phones as needed.

Extra police patrols have been added for the days ahead and the campus community is being asked to be alert. Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to call University Police at 645-2222.
