UB Students, Alumni to Explore Job, Internship Opportunities as Part of CareerFEST '09

The University at Buffalo will hold its largest job fair of the season, "CareerFEST '09: The Jobs and Internships Fair for All Majors," from 3-6:30 p.m. today (Tuesday, March 3, 2009) in the Main Gym of Alumni Arena on the UB North (Amherst) Campus.

More than 100 local and national employers seeking candidates from a wide variety of majors for employment and internships will participate in the job fair, which is open only to UB students and alumni.

CareerFEST, which each year draws about 2,000 UB student, is presented in partnership with Verizon Wireless and the YAI/National Institute for People with Disabilities.

"Students who start career exploration early have the most success finding employment," said Judith Applebaum, interim director of UB's Career Services. "CareerFEST gives them access to employers they would not otherwise have, and for all students this is extremely valuable.
