Getting Started

If you are interested in learning more about professional health careers, are you asking questions such as, “What do I need to do?” and “What do I need to know?” and are you asking yourself, “Do I have what it takes?”, then this page is the place for you! Whether you are a UB freshman or sophomore, high school student, high school counselor, or parent of a student, you will find the basics of what you need to know here. Please review the resources page.

Remember, prehealth advising at UB is for students who are Pre-Chiropractic, Pre-Dental, Pre-Medical, Pre-Optometry, Pre-Physician Assistant, Pre-Podiatry, Pre-Veterinary and those pursuing post-bac programs.

Other offices on campus exist for the advisement of public health, pharmacy, nursing, speech and hearing sciences, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and exercise science. See the Undergraduate Academic Advising site for more information.

Interested in Prehealth?

Current UB students that are interested in pursuing a professional health career and been referred to do so for the first time should complete this form. After submitting your responses, you will be contacted within 3 to 5 business days with more information on your next steps.

For new incoming students to UB, both freshmen and transfer, we will be adding you to our email list shortly after the start of your first semester.
