The CTSI Mentored Career Development Awards Program offers workshop series designed to prepare the next generation of clinical and translational researchers.

Mentor-Protégé Mentoring Workshop Series
This series provides comprehensive mentoring workshops for mentor-protégé pairs to facilitate the transition to the next level of excellence and independence for individuals in clinical and translational research and other healthcare fields. This series is designed for junior clinical and research scientists including graduate students and their mentors. The goal of the program is to help build a strong mentor-protégé relationship through which the protégé can find the necessary support to enhance growth in the areas of research and team science, teaching and professionalism.

In addition, the protégés' own mentoring skills will be enhanced as they gain skills which will allow them to mentor high school students, undergraduates, PhD students and postdocs. The mentoring program consists of five in-person, one-hour workshops delivered bimonthly (or every other week). Online platforms are used to share resources and experiences during the program.

The Advanced K to R Grant Writing Workshop is open only to members of the Community of Scholars.

Professional Development Workshop Series

The goal of the Professional Development Workshop Series is to increase knowledge and further develop interpersonal skills that will be essential to successful academic careers.
