About Us

The Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Research Design (BERD) offers statistical and bioinformatic services to researchers in the Buffalo Translational Consortium (BTC). We provide access to PhD-level scientists with a wealth of experience in study design and analysis in a team science context.

The BERD Core spans UB and Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, which provides a wide range of expertise with a focus on reducing barriers to advance translation in the BTC, collaborative and educational resources for study design and analysis, and training the next generation of the clinical and translational science workforce.

Promoting methods intended to address barriers to translational and clinical research, the BERD provides expertise to research teams in the following areas:
