The Effective Teaching Micro-credential develops foundational knowledge of adult learning principles, educational strategies for small and large learner groups, content delivery techniques, and learner and program assessment techniques. Learners will use this foundational knowledge to develop a small educational activity that will facilitate engagement of the targeted audience in clinical and translational research. Learners will implement this educational activity in their professional lives.
The micro-credential prepares participants to be effective educators of groups of diverse individuals, including beginning scientists and scholars. The digital badge allows learners to showcase their enhanced teaching skills, which will make them more competitive applicants for future employment opportunities.
