Peter Winkelstein, MD, MBA, executive director of the Institute for Healthcare Informatics, has extensive experience applying medical informatics in clinical and academic settings. 

About IHI

The Institute for Healthcare Informatics (IHI) is a secure computing center that holds electronic health record and claims data for the vast majority of the Western New York population. This data repository is available to researchers throughout the Buffalo Translational Consortium at no cost for IRB-approved projects. The IHI is also part of the TriNetX Research Network, allowing researchers to access global data sets.
