Project description

In this hands-on lab, we will produce videos for the online community. Students will explore designing and producing audio recordings and videos of online artists, influencers and podcasters using state-of-the-art software such as Reaper and Final Cut Pro, along with multiple sources of plug-ins and MIDI materials. If you have wanted to explore expanding your online presence and developing the skills needed to be an influencer, apply for a position now. 

Project outcome

Students will co-produce a series of 10 videos and audio recordings of existing artists for online release and may complete at least one online-quality video of themselves, if they choose.

Preparation activities

Once you begin the digital badge series, you will have access to all the necessary activities and instructions. Your mentor has indicated they would like you to also complete the specific preparation activities below. Please reference this when you get to Step 2 of the Preparation Phase. 

Familiarize yourself with your favorite Influencers, their videos, their archive and retrieval systems and anything else you can describe in how they produce, edit, archive, or present their work in the online environment. Decide on what your personal goals in the online influencer space are and come prepared to share them with the rest of us, so we can help you layout a plan to completion. Also, make a list of skills you already have in the area of music, audio, and video production or online influencing.
