Harvard Kennedy School Public Policy Leadership Conference

Overview

The Public Policy Leadership Conference (PPLC) inspires talented and driven undergraduate students to pursue careers in public policy and become leaders in:

  • Federal, state, or local governments
  • Nongovernmental organizations
  • Nonprofit organizations
  • Intergovernmental organizations
  • International institutions
  • Social enterprises

During the PPLC, students will have the chance to learn about what it means to study public policy in a graduate school environment; connect with current Harvard Kennedy School (HKS) students, faculty, and staff; and receive information about possible fellowship and scholarship opportunities that could help fund their HKS graduate studies.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipient, or non-citizen U.S. national.
  • Be enrolled in a two- or four-year U.S. undergraduate institution and have completed at least two academic semesters at the time of the conference.
  • Have a 3.0 grade point average (GPA) or above.
  • Not be scheduled to receive a bachelor's degree during the academic year of the conference.
  • Demonstrate an abiding commitment to public service through activism, student leadership, civic participation at school, in the community, or through volunteering.
