UB Teacher Residency Program

Gain experience with a full school year of co-teaching with an expert mentor teacher. You will complete rigorous and relevant coursework with a cohort of equally passionate fellows, helping you to become a transformational teacher. Fellows receive a stipend for living expenses and are eligible for a tuition scholarship.

Priority deadline is in November, regular deadline in January.

• Applicants must have completed a bachelor’s degree.
• Applicants must have a background in one of the relevant content areas listed on the Teacher Residency Program eligibility page.  
• Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident or already possess eligibility to work legally in the U.S.
• Applicants must not have completed a teacher preparation program or ever have held a license to teach.
