  • Graham Foundation - Carter Manny Awards

    Established in 1996 by the Graham Foundation, the Carter Manny Award supports the completion of outstanding doctoral dissertations on architecture and its role in the arts, culture, and society. As a predoctoral award program dedicated exclusively to architectural scholarship, the Carter Manny Award recognizes emerging scholars whose work promises to challenge and reshape contemporary discourse and impact the field at large.
  • Google PhD Fellowship

    Google PhD Fellowships directly support graduate students as they pursue their PhD, as well as connect them to a Google Research Mentor. The Google PhD Fellowship Program was created to recognize outstanding graduate students doing exceptional and innovative research in areas relevant to computer science and related fields. Fellowships support promising PhD candidates of all backgrounds who seek to influence the future of technology. Their research teams impact technology used by people all over the world and they encourage people of a wide range of backgrounds to apply.
  • Environmental Research & Education Foundation (EREF) Scholarships

    Scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate excellence in master’s and doctoral research related to solid waste. Awards include a stipend that may be renewed each year based on satisfactory progress toward the degree and continued engagement in solid waste research. During their scholarship period, students work on projects that advance understanding of key issues in the field. EREF staff will work with scholars to integrate them into industry events such as conferences and fundraisers and facilitate visits to companies in the industry.
  • Davis-Putter Scholarship Fund

    The Davis-Putter Scholarship Fund provides financial support for students who are active and emerging organizers in progressive movements for liberation, self-determination and social and economic justice in their communities. Grantees are doing work characterized by an opposition to capitalism, racism/white supremacy, hetero patriarchy and gender-based violence, environmental exploitation and/or other forms of systemic harm and oppression.
  • Nurse Corps Scholarship Program

    The Nurse Corps Scholarship Program provides scholarships to nursing students in exchange for a minimum two-year, full-time service commitment (or part-time equivalent) at an eligible health care facility with a critical shortage of nurses. A complete understanding of the commitment to serve at a Critical Shortage Facility and the financial, legal, and other consequences of failing to perform the commitment is critical to successfully completing the mandatory service obligation associated with a Nurse Corps Scholarship award. 
  • Career Design Center Internship Equity Fund

    This award, funded by the State University of New York (SUNY), provides funding to support University at Buffalo undergraduate and graduate students partaking in unpaid internships with non-profit or government organizations. Internships offer essential hands-on experience and serve as a crucial step toward transitioning from college to a career. The Career Design Center will use this funding to assist students who engage in these internships.
  • The Udall Undergraduate Scholarship

    The Udall Undergraduate Scholarship is for juniors and sophomores who intend to become leaders across a wide spectrum of environmental fields, including policy, engineering, science, education, urban planning and renewal, business, health, justice and economics.
  • American Psychological Association and American Psychological Foundation - Wayne F. Placek Grants

    The Wayne F. Placek Grant encourages research to increase the general public’s understanding of homosexuality and sexual orientation, and to alleviate the stress that LGBTQIA+ individuals experience in this and future civilizations. Since 1995, the Placek Fund has granted more than $1 million.
  • American Institute of Bangladesh Studies Bangla Language Fellowship Program

    The American Institute of Bangladesh Studies (AIBS) is delighted to announce the  intensive, immersion-based Bangla language training program. This program offers participants an excellent opportunity to develop proficiency in Bangla (Bengali) and its colloquial variations through an immersive learning experience in Dhaka or via remote instruction.
  • American Institute of Bangladesh Studies Fellowships for US Citizens

    All fellowships are for research involving Bangladesh and must be a minimum of two months, but no longer than twelve months pending available funding. These grants are supported by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs through the Council of American Overseas Research Centers. Scholars from all academic disciplines are eligible.
