  • Boren Fellowship
    5/17/23
    The Boren Fellowship, an initiative of the National Security Education Program, provides unique funding opportunities for U.S. graduate students to study less commonly taught languages in world regions critical to U.S. interests and underrepresented in study abroad, including Africa, Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America and the Middle East. The countries of Western Europe, Canada, Australia and New Zealand are excluded.
  • American-Scandinavian Foundation
    5/16/23
    The American-Scandinavian Foundation (ASF) offers fellowships (up to $23,000) and grants (up to $5,000) to individuals to pursue research, study or creative arts projects in one or more Scandinavian country for up to one year. Fellowships are intended to support a year-long stay. Priority is given to candidates at the graduate level for dissertation-related study or research.
  • American India Foundation (AIF) Banyan Impact Fellowship

    The AIF Banyan Impact Fellowship is a fully funded, interdisciplinary experiential learning program that places young professionals from India and the U.S. in service with communities across India. Through collaboration and capacity-building, fellows and local communities exchange knowledge and skills to steer projects that advance social and economic development. Fellows learn about grassroots development and inclusive leadership through fieldwork, mentorship, and conferences over the course of the program.
  • American Enterprise Institute (AEI) Summer Honors Program

    The American Enterprise Institute’s Summer Honors Program is an intensive, fully-funded educational and professional development opportunity in Washington, DC, for top undergraduate students. Participants in the program have the chance to connect with the ideas, research, and network of AEI, one of America’s preeminent policy think tanks, by participating in an intensive one-week seminar with an AEI scholar or partner instructor.
  • American Educational Research Association (AERA) Dissertation Grant

    The American Educational Research Association (AERA) Dissertation Grant Program seeks to stimulate research on U.S. education issues using data from the large-scale, national and international data sets supported by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), NSF, and other federal agencies. Grants of up to $20,000 are available for advanced doctoral students in education, sociology, economics, psychology, demography, statistics and psychometrics.
  • American Association of University Women—Buffalo (AAUW Buffalo)

    The Buffalo branch of the American Association of Women (AAUW) provides additional financial support to college students in the Western New York area in the form of specialized loans, grants or scholarships. The funds include several named awards. Applicants must demonstrate superior academic achievement, have potential for achieving their academic and career goals, and for some of the awards, show financial need.
  • American Association of University Women (AAUW) Dissertation Fellowship

    The American Association of University Women (AAUW) Dissertation Fellowship is dedicated to helping women succeed academically. The program provides funding for women pursuing full-time study to complete dissertations. The purpose of this fellowship is to offset the scholar’s living expenses while she completes her dissertation. The total award amount is $20,000.

    The American Association of University Women (AAUW) has a diverse set of fellowships and grants for women pursuing research, certificates or advanced degrees. Some campus initiatives may be eligible for our community grants. There is also a new publication grant for engineering, medicine and science. The goal is to advance gender equity for women and girls through research, education and advocacy.
  • ACM SIGHPC Computational & Data Science Fellowship

    ACM SIGHPC created the Computational and Data Science Fellowships to increase the diversity of students pursuing graduate degrees in data science and computational science. Specifically targeted at women or students from racial/ethnic backgrounds that have not traditionally participated in the computing field, the program is open to students pursuing degrees at institutions anywhere in the world.
  • SUNY/OMH Mental Health Scholarship Program
    5/2/23
    The New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH), in partnership with the State University of New York (SUNY) Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and SUNY schools, created the SUNY/OMH Mental Health Scholarship Program for Underrepresented and/or Multilingual Students to attract, retain, and graduate underrepresented students and students that are multilingual, in the various mental health professions.
