Empowering UB Graduate Students to Transform Our World

A graduate education is a journey that prepares ambitious students to be leaders in their chosen fields, with greater job opportunities and higher earnings. At UB, we are committed to providing the academic excellence, transformative experience and accessible education these students deserve. With your help, we can increase investments in scholarships, continue recruiting a diverse student body and build more partnerships with industry to further enhance our graduate students’ experiences.

Here Is How Scholarships Transform Students’ Lives and Strengthen the Entire UB Community

At UB, we must compete for students with other top colleges and universities—public and private. Increased donor funding for scholarships will help us attract and retain the most accomplished graduate students in all fields. Donor support also will help UB offer much more to our students during their time at UB: the chance to work with expert faculty and make significant contributions in their fields. With your support, philanthropy can change a student’s life—and improve life for millions of people worldwide.

Here Is How a Diverse Community Leads to Exceptional Opportunities

At UB, international recruitment is an ongoing priority because of the many benefits it provides for our graduate students, our community and our world:

  • Providing a global perspective that makes all of us better informed—and better prepared to apply our research and scholarly activities to communities around the globe
  • Increasing overseas opportunities for domestic students
  • Challenging students to think beyond borders rather than within them

Philanthropy enables a richer educational experience for all students—including those from Buffalo, across the U.S. and around the world.

Here Is How Real-World Experiences Give Graduates an Edge

To train the next generation of leaders in all fields requires additional—and highly strategic—approaches. With philanthropic support, our vision includes:

  • Formalizing leadership training by establishing centers within each school
  • Funding scholarships so students can spend a year immersed in specific tracts, gaining further expertise
  • Establishing more internships in the Buffalo area

Our goal is simple but increasingly important in today’s ever-changing world—providing exceptional and vital educational experiences to every graduate student.

The Power of Your Investment

Our students have the ability and ambition to change the world. Now, with your support, we will help ensure that they can achieve their full potential. How? Through scholarships, increased opportunities for international and domestic students, and internships and other real-world experiences. UB graduate education has bold ambitions, but it requires big investments—and generous support. Together, we can—and we will—help our graduate students lead the way toward a stronger UB, a brighter future and a better world.

UB Fund: Immediate Support for Students
