UB’s School of Nursing is a leader in nursing research and education. Our programs are consistently ranked among the nation’s best. Our faculty are experts in their fields. Our students are smart, ambitious and passionate. And we’re deeply engaged with our community, both locally and globally. Now, we’re aiming even higher, seeking an infusion of philanthropy for strategic investments in research, outreach and faculty and student support.
We serve our students in countless ways, including stellar classroom education, strong clinical experiences and unique research opportunities. To expand such transformative experiences, we’re seeking additional funding for enhanced student support, innovative research, new study-abroad experiences and telehealth training that promotes better access to care. Donor support will expand scholarships for graduate students (including PhD students) and undergraduate students—a critical part of solving the nursing shortage—allowing us not only to diversity our student body, but also to attract individuals who wish to provide care to underserved populations.
UB is fortunate to be affiliated with one of the nation’s most comprehensive academic health centers, enabling our nurse-scientists to be at the forefront of finding real solutions to the greatest health challenges facing our world. Now, we’re seeking additional funds to expand and leverage our research programs. With philanthropic support, we’ll endow chairs and professorships in critical areas such as diversity and equity and education innovation, allowing us to recruit nationally renowned faculty whose research keeps them—and UB—on the leading edge of nursing science and practice.
We are deeply engaged in community-based problem solving and health promotion. Now, with your support, we will grow our Interprofessional Global Health Program—a strategic initiative with far-reaching impact. We will transform health in Buffalo as we lead the way establishing interdisciplinary programs with UB’s other health science schools. We will create opportunities for students to treat patients and improve community health. By supporting these innovative programs, you’re investing in better worldwide health—and powering new approaches to front line health care.
We are seeking your investment in healthier communities.
For more than 80 years, UB Nursing has provided high-quality nursing education and conducted real-world research. Now, we’re rising to meet new challenges—seeking faculty who are thought leaders and innovative scientists, pioneering effective ways to improve health, and increasing support for students. With your investment, we will transform and define the future of nursing education and clinical care. Lives and health are at stake, and your support will ensure our nurses are there to help them.
When you give to the UB Fund, your gift today is made available to help support students today. It’s that immediate. Giving to the UB Fund helps ensure our students have everything they need to become thoughtful global citizens, with 100 percent of gifts used to enhance the student experience, including crucial support for research, study abroad, student emergencies and community service opportunities.
