UB's most prestigious donor society for those who have made bold lifetime commitments to better the university and its students.
The University Founders Society is UB’s most prestigious donor society. Started in 1994 and relaunched in 2021, the Founders Society is how UB recognizes those donors who have committed $100,000 or more in their lifetimes to better the university and its students.
Like the pillars that represent the Founders Society, these extraordinary donors are foundational partners in the University’s mission of providing a world-class education to all. Their generosity will have an enduring impact on this great institution.
Members of the Founders Society are afforded a number of benefits and privileges to enhance their connections to the university. Chief among them is the University Founders Society app, created for the exclusive use of Founders members and the vessel for the Founders Society podcast, ThroughUB.
There is a new Founders Society app available free to members. It includes information and updates about the university and exclusive access to ThroughUB a podcast sharing thoughtful and educational conversations about the incredible work happening at UB. New episodes are added monthly so we hope you will open the app and listen often.
If you haven't already, download the app today (instructions can be found below) and start listening to our first few episodes. While in the app, don’t forget to request your complimentary set of Founders Society earbuds directly from the app.
To download apps from the App Store, you need an Apple ID. Your Apple ID is the account that you use to access Apple services. If you don’t have an Apple ID, you can create one. The app is free to Founders Society members.
Members of the Founders Society have a personal concierge at the University at Buffalo. Members are encouraged to reach out at any time for assistance or information at UB and its programs, campaigns, students, the Founders Society app, and other resources.
The Founders Society concierge is Jennifer Silverman-Van Treese. She may be contacted at founders@buffalo.edu or (716) 881-7482.
