Program Description

The School Counseling EdM program seeks to educate individuals who will utilize learned skills, abilities, knowledge and attitudes in order to assist youth in educational settings to cope with developmental and remedial tasks involving educational, vocational and personal-social needs. Graduates of the school counseling program are expected to be able to apply a diverse repertoire of helping strategies and techniques, conceptualize and implement a comprehensive program of school counseling services, and engage in evaluation of their efforts.
