University Communications photographer Meredith Forrest Kulwicki has spent some time recently in University Libraries Special Collections, following classes using the collections as a resource for research. Students in an Early Spanish American Literature class took a field trip to Capen Hall in February, reviewing both books and manuscripts from the early colonial period housed in the Rare Books Collection. In March, HIS 301 historical writing, taught by Katherine Zubovich, visited the University Archives, where students were introduced to the archives' resources, with the goal of finding items for their research papers.
