UB strives to provide a welcoming and inclusive learning environment where all students and employees can be fully engaged, feel safe and respected and are able to thrive.
Viewfinder will administer a SUNY DEI Campus Climate Survey for students and employees to assess our campus climate. The survey will run Sept. 9-Nov. 3 and take approximately 15 minutes to complete.
We value your voice, and we want you to share your experiences and perceptions of the current campus climate with us! The survey results will be used to identify strengths and opportunities related to diversity, equity and inclusion on UB's campus.
All faculty, staff and students will receive an email directly from Viewfinder® Campus Climate Surveys, LLC inviting you to participate in the survey.
The survey should be completed by all current faculty, staff and students in order to gauge the climate on campus surrounding diversity and equity.
All faculty, staff and students will receive an email directly from Viewfinder® Campus Climate Surveys, LLC inviting you to participate in the online survey.
The survey will take about 15 minutes to complete.
Participating students, faculty and staff will have the chance to win $10 in Campus Cash.
After taking the survey, respondents will be directed to a separate landing page. If you would like to be included in incentives, you may enter your contact information on the Qualtrics form on this page. There will be 25 student winners and 10 employee winners. Names will be randomly drawn during the survey period.
Please note that this page is completely distinct from the survey itself. Sharing your information will not connect you back to your survey, so your responses remain confidential.
No, this survey is different because it focuses on our diversity, equity and inclusion efforts. In April 2023, UB administered the Sexual Violence Prevalence (SVP) Campus Climate Survey asking UB students, faculty and staff to provide information to inform our campus sexual assault prevention and response efforts.
Participation in the survey is voluntary. No personal identifying information will be collected to ensure confidentiality.
The survey will be administered online and will be made accessible to anyone who need accommodations. Accessibility questions can be directed to Mary Henesey, EIT accessibility officer, at henesey@buffalo.edu.
Faculty and staff are encouraged to take the survey during work hours. Faculty are encouraged to give students time to take the survey during classes.
Key findings and results from the SUNY DEI Campus Climate Survey will be shared with the campus after the survey has ended. Please stay tuned for more information.
Questions about the survey should be directed to prov.oiasurveys@provost.buffalo.edu.
