Entrepreneurial students will learn strategies for successful product design and marketing in this three-credit course.
This course from the School of Management offers practical knowledge to upper level students with an invention they want to develop and market.
The first part of the course focuses on interaction among design, engineering, manufacturing and marketing to develop successful new products in a short period of time in both traditional and electronic markets. The second half emphasizes issues dealing with the management of product offerings. It uses a combination of lectures, cases and projects to help students gain mastery of the subject matter.
The course is open to upper-level students. It is typically offered in the fall semester.
