Wound care, delayed healing in chronic wounds, federal funding of nursing programs, media representation of nurses, ethical guidelines
Annette Wysocki’s research focuses on delayed healing in chronic wounds. She can speak to the news media on the science and innovation of human wound healing.
Wysocki can also provide expert perspective on representation of nurses in the media, as well as federal funding of nursing research.
She can also address questions on professional nursing ethical guidelines and responsible conduct of research and long-term policies and programs at the state and national level related to aging. She has served on the American Academy of Nursing Expert Panel on Bioethics and the American Academy of Nursing Expert Panel on Aging for more than 10 years and expects to continue in this role.
Wysocki can also discuss translating research into innovative technologies and services that improve health. She can answer questions related to preparing the nursing workforce and the nursing faculty shortage.
She has authored more than 50 scholarly publications and presented her research findings nationally and internationally. She has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, the Office of Naval Research and the American Nurses Foundation.
