Obesity, disordered eating, parental influences on child eating behavior, childhood obesity, diet culture, anti-obesity drugs
Katherine N. Balantekin is a registered dietitian who can talk to the media about influences on eating behavior and eating behavior in individuals with obesity and eating disorders, including parental influences on child eating behavior.
Balantekin can also discuss weight loss prevention strategies and interventions, as well as the role anti-obesity prescription medications such as Ozempic and Wegovy can play in helping individuals achieve a healthier weight.
Balantekin is an advocate for improved access to compassionate, evidence-based and patient-centered care in order to fight weight stigma and end diet culture.
