Arun Lakshmanan studies issues related to attention economy, including how marketing and digital media drive and shape consumers’ attention. His research also examines how consumers learn and remember marketing stimuli, such as ads, prices or promotions.
Faculty director of the School of Management's PhD program, Lakshmanan has also done extensive work in understanding how consumers learn to use new and complex technological products and how this affects product design, adoption and success.
