Concussions (especially in children), traumatic brain injury, brain injury and intimate partner violence
Ghazala Saleem is an expert on concussions and other forms of traumatic brain injury.
She can speak to the media about the management and treatment of concussions, including pediatric concussions. She can also discuss the impact of brain injuries and methods for detecting these injuries.
Saleem’s research focuses on assessing and treating brain injuries in medically and socially vulnerable populations including children, and survivors of intimate partner violence with repeated brain injuries.
Her lab, the Brain Function and Recovery Lab, aims to identify and refine rapid detection methods and cost-effective treatments for brain injury that are widely accessible.
