Haiqing Lin is an expert in materials science and membranes.
His lab develops advanced membranes for water purification and for separating different gases from each other. One area of focus is on designing polymer-based membranes that can remove carbon dioxide from the emissions of coal-fired and syngas power plants. Lin can speak to the media about these and other carbon capture technologies.
Prior to joining UB, Lin worked in industry, serving as a senior research engineer and team leader of the gas separations group at Membrane Technology and Research Inc.
