  • UB Goes Hollywood: Launches First Coast to Coast Entertainment Conference in Los Angeles

    The University at Buffalo will offer the first UB Coast to Coast Entertainment and Media Conference June 27-28 in Los Angeles. Created specifically for UB alumni, students and friends of UB, but open to the public, UBC2C will feature workshops in acting, writing, directing, music production, independent film production and marketing, as well as entertainment business marketing, taught by UB industry alumni.

  • $1 Million Gift to Fund Endowed Professorship in Management

    H. William Lichtenberger has made a $1 million gift to the University at Buffalo School of Management to establish an endowed professorship. The H. William Lichtenberger Professor of Global Services and Supply Management was created to help the UB School of Management attract and retain top talent and build its Global Services and Supply Management program.

Nielsen, Ph.D., M.D., president of the American Medical Association and senior associate dean for medical education at the University at Buffalo's School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, will present the inaugural Oliver P. "O.P." Jones, M.D., '56, Endowed Lectureship in Medical Education Sept. 19.
  • 36th UB Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Set for Oct. 17

    Seven University at Buffalo alumni will be inducted into the Dr. and Mrs. Edmond J. Gicewicz Family UB Athletics Hall of Fame during the 36th annual ceremony to be held Oct. 17 in Alumni Arena on the UB North (Amherst) Campus. Another individual will be honored for his ongoing support to the university's athletics program.
