    Greenestuff Inc. will present "My Bedbugs in J. Edgar's Birthday Party" at 1:30 p.m. on April 30 in the Drama Theatre in the Center for the Arts on the University at Buffalo North (Amherst) Campus.
  • CFA Spring Magazine Wins Gold

    The University at Buffalo Center for the Arts 2006 Spring Magazine received a Gold Award in the Buffalo Club of Printing House Craftsmen Superb Printing Awards competition. The award was announced at the 49th Annual Printing Awards Banquet held March 23 in Salvatore's Italian Gardens.

    Robert D. Van Valin Jr., professor in the Department of Linguistics in the University at Buffalo's College of Arts and Sciences, has been awarded a Humboldt Research Award by Germany's Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in recognition of his lifetime research achievements in the field of linguistics.

  • UB to hold Explore the Arts Summer Program

    The Center for the Arts at the University at Buffalo will hold Explore the Arts, its theatrical arts summer program for children entering grades 5-8 on July 10-14 in the Center for the Arts on the UB North (Amherst) Campus. Registration and fee are required.
  • Niagara Falls Installation to Open in Art Gallery

    Niagara Falls, a site-specific installation by Adam Cvijanovic (pronounced Siv-ano-vich), opens in the University at Buffalo Art Gallery, located in the Center for the Arts on the UB North (Amherst) Campus, with a reception from 5:30-8 p.m. on March 23. An exhibition walkthrough with the artist and curator Sandra Firmin will begin at 5 p.m.
  • Scene from 'Olympus Manger' to Open in Art Gallery

    Chicago-based artist Kelly Kaczynski (pronounced Ka-zin-ski) debuts her installation, Scene from 'Olympus Manger,' with an opening reception in the University at Buffalo Art Gallery, Center for the Arts on the UB North (Amherst) Campus, from 5:30-8 p.m. on, March 23. An exhibition walkthrough with the artist and curator Sandra Firmin will begin at 5 p.m.
  • Native American Storyteller to Give Presentations

    Stories of the Americas, a performance and speaker series presented by the American Studies Graduate Student Association at the University at Buffalo, will debut later this month with several presentations by Native American storyteller Ishmael Hope.
  • Mikhail Baryshnikov to Perform in CFA June 8-11

    Center for the Arts at the University at Buffalo will present Mikhail Baryshnikov and Hell's Kitchen Dance, June 8-10 at 8 p.m. and June 11 at 2 p.m. in the Drama Theatre, located at the Center for the Arts on the UB North (Amherst) Campus. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. March 11.
