Bailey Green II — a master plan developed by UB faculty and students, along with community stakeholders, for a 33-acre zone on Buffalo’s East Side — earned second place in the 2016 International Making Cities Livable design competition.
UB architect Joyce Hwang’s latest animal architecture creation, called Bower, will be celebrated at an opening event this Thursday at Artpark in Lewiston.
Completed in 1879 as an insane asylum, the building — now home to the School of Architecture and Planning — is the university's first to receive the historic designation.
