The University at Buffalo will co-sponsor a free breast cancer awareness walk and a wellness event providing free mammograms and health information from health care providers on Saturday, Oct. 13, in Masten Park.
It's a win-win: a "star-studded" video premiere and the opportunity to generate enough votes to win $10,000 for University at Buffalo School of Nursing breast cancer research.
A free breast cancer awareness walk and wellness event will be held Saturday, Oct. 13 at 10 a.m. in Masten Park by the Patient Voices Network. The network is a patient empowerment partnership between the University at Buffalo Department of Family Medicine, and patients from UBMD Family Medicine at Jefferson and Jericho Road Family Practice.
Peter Winkelstein, MD, professor of pediatrics at the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, chief medical informatics officer for UB/MD and former chief of the division of general pediatrics, has been appointed executive director of the UB medical school's Institute for Healthcare Informatics.
