Program based within the Department of Family Medicine at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences has received a $140,000 grant to help address the opioid crisis in WNY.
The award recognizes UB’s progress in bringing the benefits of clinical and translational science to patients, including the tripling of clinical trials since 2015.
UB professor Othman Shibly will travel to Lebanon to provide dental care to nearly 2,000 child refugees. The weeklong humanitarian mission is his fifth this year.
