The Linda Yalem Safety Run, one of UB’s most enduring traditions, returns for its 27th year to promote personal safety and remember UB student Linda Yalem.
The UB Haudenosaunee-Native American Research Group and the Native Graduate Students Association will host a peaceful gathering in support of the Standing Rock Sioux and #NoDAPL on Sept. 16.
UB is working with state, city and community-based groups and organizations to develop new programs that expand upon UB’s ongoing efforts to improve the quality of life in the neighborhoods that surround the South Campus.
UB will hold its annual Neighbor’s Day Block Party and Safety Fair from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 9, on the Hayes Hall lawn on the UB South Campus.
“Doorhanger” kits containing safety reminders and tips on how to be a good neighbor will be distributed to about 1,900 homes surrounding UB's South Campus Aug. 23.
