Ratchford Named Editor of Prestigious Marketing Journal

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Brian T. Ratchford, Alumni Professor of Marketing in the University at Buffalo School of Management, has been named editor of Marketing Science, a top-tier academic journal in the area of marketing.

Ratchford will serve a four-year term as editor of the journal, published by the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS). He previously served as an associate editor of the journal, which publishes new research on the scientific application of marketing theories, techniques and measures.

Ratchford, a resident of Williamsville, is a 26-year member of the management school's marketing department and serves as chair of the school's MBA committee. He previously served as associate editor of Management Science and the Journal of Consumer Research, another top-tier marketing journal.
