BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The University at Buffalo Office of University Development has made two appointments in the university's schools.
Frances V. Folta has joined the development office in the UB School of Management as assistant director of development, while Rachel C. Moran will serve as assistant director of development in the School of Pharmacy.
Folta, a South Wales resident, will be responsible for the management school's annual fund and assist with special and major gifts. Director of development for Trocaire College before joining UB, she previously was assistant director of annual giving for Canisius College.
Folta is a board member of the Western New York Chapter of the National Society of Fund Raising Executives (NSFRE) and is a member of the Western New York Planned Giving Consortium. She is a committeeman for the East Aurora Republican Party and serves on the board of directors of the South Wales Community Association.
An MBA graduate of Canisius College, Folta received a bachelor's degree from Hood College in Frederick, Md.
Moran will be responsible for the pharmacy school's annual appeal, donor-recognition clubs and alumni development communications.
She formerly worked as director of the annual fund, special events and public relations for Canisius High School. Prior to that, she was director of fund raising for Cradle Beach Camp.
Moran, a Buffalo resident, is a member of NSFRE's Western New York Chapter, and a past member of the Public Relations Society of America Buffalo/Niagara Chapter and the Cradle Beach Camp Special Events Committee.
She received a master's degree in English from Binghamton University and a bachelor's degree in English literature from Elmira College.
