BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Pamela H. Keen and Juli A. Riemenschneider have been named to new positions with The Center for Industrial Effectiveness (TCIE), University at Buffalo Business Alliance.
Keen, who has been with TCIE since 1993 and has served as director of training services since 1998, has been named TCIE director.
Riemenschneider, a consultant on the General Motors (GM) Powertrain L850 project for TCIE, has been named TCIE project manager.
Keen's new duties will include business development and management, as well as general oversight of TCIE services and projects.
She earned an associate's degree in applied sciences from SUNY at Alfred and a bachelor's degree in business administration from SUNY's Empire State College.
A resident of Boston, N.Y., Keen formerly was with Moog, Inc. and Delaware North Cos. Inc.
Before joining TCIE, Riemenschneider, who has more than 15 years of industry experience, was with the Miami Valley Career Center in Dayton, Ohio, which runs continuing-education programs for General Motors. She also has served as a training coordinator and facilitator for Corning, Inc.
As TCIE project manager, she will manage contracted projects, including technical assessments, research-and-development, and training programs.
A resident of Williamsville, Riemenschneider holds a bachelor's degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
TCIE, affiliated with the UB School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, offers training programs, research-and-development assistance, technical assistance and assessments, and translation services for Western New York businesses. It is part of the UB Business Alliance, the single point of contact for business and industry to access UB resources to improve their business practices.
