BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Senior Vice President Robert J. Wagner has announced two appointments in the Division of University Services at the University at Buffalo.
Kevin R. Seitz, associate vice president and controller, has been appointed senior associate vice president for university services.
Michael LeVine, assistant vice president for financial services, has been named associate vice president and controller.
As senior associate vice president, Seitz will work closely with senior UB managers on financial planning and implementation issues. His responsibilities will include partnering with representatives of university-affiliated entities to provide financial information and identify resources, overseeing financial policy development and insuring implementation, participating in capital-budget reporting to campus constituencies and overseeing financial issues related to special state allocations to the university.
A UB staff member since 1974, Seitz has held a variety of positions at the university, including division director of auxiliary services, associate director and acting director of personnel, assistant vice president for finance and management, assistant vice president for financial and auxiliary services, and assistant vice president and interim director of administrative computing services.
He served as a lecturer in Millard Fillmore College, the university's evening division, for nearly 20 years, teaching college algebra and trigonometry.
Seitz earned a bachelor's degree in management and an MBA, both from UB. He is enrolled in the doctoral program in higher education administration at UB.
He resides in Clarence Center.
In his new position, LeVine holds responsibility for the university's financial services, including accounting, budget, endowments, sponsored program post-award activities and travel; human resource services; procurement services, and campus services, such as print and mail services, and trademarks and licensing.
A UB staff member since 1984, he served as associate director and director of the Internal Audit Department before being promoted to assistant vice president. Prior to working at UB, he was a senior state accounts auditor in the Bureau of Management Audit of the state Comptroller's Office.
He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration, with a concentration in accounting, and an MBA, both from UB.
LeVine resides in Williamsville.
