UB Office of Science, Technology Transfer and Economic Outreach Appoints Reed as Financial Officer

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The University at Buffalo's Office of Science, Technology Transfer and Economic Outreach has appointed Sallie P. Reed as financial officer.

Reed, formerly director of administration/corporate controller with Reid Petroleum Corp., will be responsible for the establishment, implementation and continuous monitoring of general and unit budgets, processes and controls.

Reed is a certified public accountant with several years of diverse administrative experience, including financial and account management.

She received a bachelor's degree in accounting from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a master's degree in business administration from the University at Buffalo.

She has been a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants since 1988, and is a board member with the Eastern Niagara Chamber of Commerce and the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America.

She resides in Lockport.

The UB Office of Science, Technology Transfer and Economic Outreach fosters partnerships between the UB and the business community and provides access to the university's resources to enhance and promote economic growth.
