BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The University at Buffalo Center for the Arts will present the world-renowned Poko Puppets in "The Peter Rabbit Revue" at 2 p.m. March 23 in the Mainstage Theatre in the Center for the Arts on the UB North (Amherst) Campus.

Free kids' activities will be provided one hour prior to the performance, which is part of the Center for the Arts Family Adventure Series sponsored by Adelphia Media Services and WJYE-FM.

The Peter Rabbit Revue is a fun-filled, full-stage musical treat featuring the famous rabbit as well as such classic children's tales as "Peter and the Wolf," "Tubby the Tuba" and "Peer Gynt and the Trolls." Rabbits abound with Poko's signature glitter-rock "At The Hop," the zany and egg-stravagant "Easter Parade" and an "Old McDonald" sing-along with special guest star "Super Rabbit."

This production is made possible, in part, by a grant from The Jim Henson Foundation. The show is recommended for ages 8 and under.

Established in 1966 by Larry Engler, Poko Puppets have appeared in full-stage productions for large theatres, such as the Brooklyn Academy of Music and Metropolitan Opera House; concert appearances with orchestras, such as the Philadelphia Orchestra and Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, and smaller shows that have toured auditoriums from Anchorage to Atlanta, and San Juan to Singapore. Poko Puppets also have created and performed dozens of characters for television commercials and corporate industrials for Sony, AT&T, Prudential Life, Hershey Chocolate, Canon, Pepsi Cola and others.

Tickets for "The Peter Rabbit Revue" are $12 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. Tickets are available from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday-Friday at the Center for the Arts Box Office and all Ticketmaster locations, including Kaufmann's and Movies Plus.
