BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership (CEL) in the University at Buffalo School of Management, as part of its Executive Education Program series, will offer a program entitled "The Mother-In-Law's Guide to Marketing: How to Create and Implement a Marketing Campaign Whose Success Will Silence Even Your Staunchest Critics."
The program will cover the basics of marketing, including setting quantifiable goals, creating an identity/brand, getting the message out, using and buying media, and connecting with the community.
It will be held from 6-8 p.m. on March 12 and 19 from in the Jacobs Management Center on UB's North (Amherst) Campus.
The program will be facilitated by Marc Adler, director of client services at Flynn & Friends, a Buffalo advertising agency, and Mitch Flynn, president and creative director of Flynn & Friends. In their presentation, the two will draw from their 45 combined years of working with local, regional, national and international companies, institutions and individuals.
The CEL's Executive Education Programs are designed to broaden managers' knowledge of leading-edge practices and provide them with a forum to network with other executives from a variety of industries.
Other upcoming CEL executive programs, all to be held in the Jacobs Management Center, are:
-- "How to Manage Legal Risks That Threaten Your Business: A Roadmap to Some of the Employment Minefields" will cover six important federal and state legal issues governing employment. The program will be held from 6-8 p.m. on April 10 and 17. It will be facilitated by Philip H. McIntyre, an attorney with Jaeckle Fleischmann & Mugle LLP who counsels and represents businesses on all aspects of employment law.
-- "How to Turn Around Your Business Performance Before It's Needed" will offer proactive solutions for all sizes and types of businesses. Topics covered will include staying competitive, developing lending relationships, managing health care costs, and attracting and keeping employees. The program will be held from 6-8 p.m. on April 22 and 29. It will be facilitated by Gerry Murak, a turnaround performance specialist and principal of Murak & Associates LLC, a management consulting firm.
-- "Building a Creation Company Versus a Compliance Company" will teach participants how to position their company for growth using revolutionary tactics. The program will be held from 6-8 p.m. on May 1 and 8. It will be facilitated by Bill Koehler, founder of the business development and profit expansion firm, Koehler, Pohle & Stakel LLC.
